Palisades Episcopal School, an independent school located in southwest Charlotte near Lake Wylie, had been open for three years and was ready to update their school's website and create a school video. Marketing Shoppe worked with the school leadership to plan and coordinate a fresh look for their online presence. The school did not want to the same "this is how it's always done" video. They wanted to create an emotional connection with the visual experience enabling prospective applicants to feel what it was like to be part of the school. Click here to view the video.
Haywood Mall is a super-regional shopping center in Greenville, South Carolina. It is the largest mall in the state. For 15 years, it had accumulated sets, props and promotional items in its warehouse that were used through various seasonal displays and events. When it came time to clean out the warehouse, Marketing Shoppe was contacted to help create an event that would not only empty out the space but additionally raise money for the Simon Youth Foundation. Marketing Shoppe created The Warehouse Sale- as big as a mall! We designed, prepared, advertised, staffed and cleaned up. The entire event was turn-key for the mall management team. In addition to cleaning out the space we also raised several thousand dollars for the charity.
Lake Wylie Pilot is a small community newspaper that serves the Lake Wylie and Clover, SC communities. Understaffed and not able to handle a growing retail area in a secondary territory, the newspaper was losing out on potential revenue. Marketing Shoppe stepped in and handled the area for the newspaper. Through innovative techniques to support the smaller retail stores in the area revenue increased by over 526% in three years.
The Charlotte site director wanted to create a team building project that would incorporate the different groups from the nearly 800 plus employees. We project managed the event with an outside vendor to design, create and organize a spectacular event that combined team building and competition amongst the groups. The event called Microsoft NC200 was a rousing success. We had an internal website publicizing the event, inter-group competitions, secret car building parties...everyone was very excited.
